My friend, an AMA Superbike privateer, let me ride his modified Honda CBR1000RR at Mid-Ohio on August 2nd for a track day affiliated with Sport Bike Track Time. Needless to say, dispite the fact that the bike had reverse shifting, a quick shifter and 180hp on tap, I had an absolute blast. This was my first time at/on this track. It was also my first time on this bike. This track day was my second ever, as I road at Grattan in Belding Michigan in 2005 on an Aprilia RSV1000R Factory (also a loaner). Since my friend had to use the bike in the AMA racing that weekend, neither of us wanted me to crash it...
