Toyota and Honda workers earn more than UAW.
GM, Ford, and republicans continually try to link declining auto sales to unions. Unions are a convenient excuse for poor business practices and politically convenient for politicians whom represent business owners. In reality, the UAW is being used as a scapegoat for poor business practices.
