This is my 84' VF750 Magna, bought her 2 years ago in poor condition. Now my baby runs good, compression is ok, looks well - youngtimer unspoilt by time :D
I had to replace one rocker arm (in rear set of cylinders, due to excessive wear), do a complete carb service and set valve clearance periodically.
Exhaust has undergone debaffling (If my camera had a mic you would be able to hear that roar :D ). Setting valve clearance in proper way and replacement of this bloody rocker arm eliminated engine noise entirely ( the one and only mechanical noise that is heard is a decent swirling of camshafts.)
Even though engine doesn't run smoky there is a little oil consumption- abt. 20 g/100 kilometres, so checking oil level every 500 kilos is a wise idea.
From 4000 rpm her motor starts producing mean torque, making rear tyre scream for mercy :D She is able to hit 190 kph easily- as I personally checked her capabilities :)
